I am a tumbleweed, living from coast to coast
I am Alaskan grown, amongst the cold and rain
I am a singer, in choir and musicals
I am a wrestler, in headlocks and spandex
I am from a house with few people
I am from a house exploding with people (16 to be exact)
But we both love reading, we both like music and
WE ARE SENIORS.

Insanity
Insanity stares through cracked lenses into a mirror
That holds the image of a raggedy old man
His eyes a twirling abyss of scattered thoughts
"Who am I?" he whispers in a quiet soliloquy
He no longer recognizes the reflection of a pruned face,
Wrinkled by wasted years of talking to the wind
Insanity remembers a middle aged man named loneliness who once looked back at him from that mirror
Who had no one, but at least had himself
Through time, he lost himself
Becoming the man you avoid at bus stops,
Or alleyways,
But he does not see you,
Because he is inside his mind,
Staring into a mirror.

Blogo Reviewso's Tres
nilBLOG has a great poem about...roadkill. However unattractive the subject seems, the poem is well written and it made me LAWL.
AyeBeeBeeEWhy has a collection of haikus about Christmas which are all pretty clever and make me miss the season. Just kidding, summer better come quick.
Your Eyes Will Be Satisfied's Write a Riff about Disneyland was greatly descriptive, funny, and had awesome pictures.

Procrastination
In your head is a voice that says "That homework can wait, let's watch TV.". Every morning when your alarm clock sounds, it says "C'mon, press the snooze button. It won't hurt.". This voice is called Procrastination.
It stems from the more "cave-mannish" section of the brain that strives for instant gratification. It's what makes little kids eat dessert before dinner, or a college kid party all week until cramming the night before finals. More importantly, it's what has made me screw around all winter break until the night before school restarts to do my homework.
You might ask, "Why does this part of our brain even exist?". It just causes stress and anxiety! Well, maybe it's there so people don't become boring. Without our friend procrastination, people would forget about fun and work all the time. Everyone needs to blow work off sometimes and just ski, or see a movie, or read a blog about procrastination...
Not to seem creepy in quoting the Shining, but all work and no play does make Johnny a dull boy.
